Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for engagements with Bluefin Products Group LLC ("Bluefin"). Because we provide professional research and consulting services rather than physical products, refunds are handled based on the work performed. Where a signed statement of work or engagement agreement specifies different terms, that document controls.
1. Nature of Our Services
We deliver time-based and deliverable-based professional services. Fees pay for the research, analysis, and advisory work we perform, not for a guaranteed business outcome.
2. Deposits & Advance Payments
Some engagements require a deposit or advance payment before work begins. Deposits reserve our time and are applied to the total engagement fee. Deposits are refundable only to the extent that the corresponding work has not yet been performed at the time a cancellation request is received.
3. Discovery Sprints & Fixed-Fee Projects
For discovery sprints and fixed-fee projects, if you cancel before work begins, you are entitled to a full refund of any amounts paid. If you cancel after work has begun but before delivery, we will refund amounts paid that exceed the value of the work performed up to the cancellation date, calculated in good faith based on progress. Once a deliverable has been completed and delivered, the fee for that deliverable is non-refundable.
4. Retainers
Monthly advisory retainers are billed in advance for each service period. You may cancel a retainer with written notice as specified in your statement of work (or, if none is specified, before the start of the next billing period). Cancellation stops future billing; fees for the current period are non-refundable once the period has begun, as our time has been reserved for you. Unused hours generally do not roll over unless your statement of work says otherwise.
5. Changes in Scope
If the scope of an engagement changes, we will agree any fee adjustments with you in writing before performing the additional work. Change-request fees follow the same refund principles described above.
6. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To cancel an engagement or request a refund, email hello@bluefinproductsgroup.com with your company name and engagement details. We will acknowledge your request, confirm the status of the work, and process any refund due within a reasonable time. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
7. Billing Questions & Disputes
If you believe there is an error on an invoice or a charge, please contact us first at the email above so we can review and resolve it promptly. We aim to handle billing concerns fairly and quickly.
